Structural Post Replacement

Our client had some structural posts that had rotted to a dangerous point. They wanted to take the opportunity to create a new look to their exterior. After some design and engineering discussion, our clients decided to go with a craftsman style post with a redwood finish. To save some cost and to extend longevity, we used pressure-treated members for the structure and then applied redwood skins to achieve the craftsman look they desired. We used bitumen membrane and galvanized sheet steel to cap our new posts to prevent water intrusion and ensure the longest possible life of our new posts. Our clients were so happy with the final product!
