Shingle Springs Fireplace Mantel
Custom Fireplace Mantel with Corbels
Our client had removed an elevated hearth, perimeter of tile, and mantel that no longer fit the aesthetic they were pursuing. But they had not quite figured out how to achieve their design goals. After some dialogue, research, and design mock ups, we landed on a design which they embraced and loved as their own. We crafted a new mantel and some custom corbels, giving all of the wood work a very clean and smooth finish with minimal distressing. We wanted the mantel to appear as if it almost passed through the angled walls on either side of the mantel. We prepared the fireplace with new drywall and refinished the fireplace itself with high temperature paint to coordinate with the new mantel color. Later, a mason came to install some beautiful stone work. My clients were absolutely thrilled with the final product.
